Patchworks Unlimited Australia

Gael and Pauline started Patchworks Unlimited over 18 years ago as a bricks and mortar shop in the northern suburb of Pascoe Vale in Melbourne, Australia. 

 

Our range of original patterns has expanded to include screen printed panels .  These are our own artworks, and being hand printed by us they are not available commercially. 

 

We have a delightful range of regular fabrics which include beautiful florals, bright and pretty fabrics, Japanese and Oriental designs, interesting novelty prints, and complementary plain colours. 

 

We also carry best quality Osnaberg, linen/cotton, cotton velvets and other specialty fabrics for a variety of applications including embroidery, and a comprehensive assortment of efficient patchwork and quilting tools, threads and equipment.

 

 

The Patchwork Spirit is the name of the range of original patterns that have been exclusive to Patchworks Unlimited. 

We are now able to offer a limited range of our designs on a wholesale level, so bona fide retailers are invited to get in touch with us for details.

 

 These innovative designs are written for easy understanding and are designed to be user friendly and achievable to all levels.  We are especially aware of making our ideas accessible to our customers in places not necessarily adjacent to a patchwork shop for help or supplies.

 

The designs range from fairly simple and easy, to quite complex and sophisticated, but the instructions are always step by step for ease of application.

 

We are delighted to be the innovators of Patchwork By The Month - that is a design built around hand screen printed panels which are sent out each month to be incorporated into a delightful original setting.  Fabrics and patterns, extra bonuses in the form of Preview Packs (to try out the technique before actually working on your quilt), original patterns and ideas, and other goodies come as part of the monthly programme.
